Book of Acts Church Core Ministries

The book of Acts Church Core Ministries emphasize the key revival and evangelism fundamental principles for reaching, reaping, and retaining a mega harvest of souls.  Revival is the Lord working in the church; evangelism is the church working for the Lord.  Revival is God pleading with believers: “Get involved in the business of My Kingdom.” Evangelism is an awakened church pleading with sinners: Come to Jesus Christ and be saved.”

Book of Acts Church Core Ministries and Supernatural Results

Just a few verses down from Peter's message of salvation in Acts chapter two, the three core ministries of the church are identified along with the outstanding results:  "Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.  And they continued steadfastly in the Apostles' Doctrine and Fellowship, and in Breaking of Bread, and in  PrayersMany wonders and signs were done by the apostles.  And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved"  (Acts 2:41, 42, 47).  The results of the very first miracle recorded in Acts chapter 3, after the ascension of Jesus, was that 5,000 men believed: “Many of them which heard the word believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand.”  Acts 4:4

The seminars listed below are provided to emphasize, elevate, and expand the three core ministries of the church identified in the book of Acts model for individual spiritual growth and corporate church growth. For an overview of the three seminars listed below click on:

1. Prayer Ministry (Prayers)

Apostolic Power : Develop a more organized  and powerful prayer ministry at the church level. Develop a more balanced and effective prayer life at the individual level.

2. Compassion and Care (Soul Winning) (Fellowship and breaking of bread)

Apostolic Actions: Ministering to needs and soul winning (attracting, winning, retaining and making disciples).  Ministering with our dual nature as son of man for natural needs and son of God for supernatural needs.

 3. Spiritual Growth Through the Word (Apostles' doctrine)

Apostolic Doctrine:  In addition to the pulpit ministry of teaching  and preaching, emphasis is placed on spiritual growth through continued study at the individual level with the pursuit of God’s Word.

Spiritual Growth of the Christian: More emphasis should be placed on building the individual vs. building the church, since Church growth is directly related to the spiritual growth of its' members.  For there to be an apostolic church, there must be an apostolic man. Spiritual growth of the members will result in numerical growth of the church, since the spiritual growth cycle includes the dominion role of ministering to the needs of others. The spiritual growth cycle includes:

  • Relationship with God (upward focus)

  • Transformation of the inner man (inward focus)

  • Dominion in the harvest field and battlefield (outward focus).

“How is your church doing with discipleship?  Not just how many new people were baptized or even how many new

converts graduated a six-week course last year.   But  how  are all  church  members growing spiritually and digging

deeper  into  God’s  Word  year  after  year?   It  can  be a daunting  task  for  church  leaders to  drive  this  ongoing

discipleship  responsibility,  but it is necessary  for  continued  spiritual  growth.”  (quote from a religious magazine)

  • The vision is for a breakthrough that will double the church numerically and spiritually at the individual and corporate levels.

Multimedia is used in these teaching and training presentations.  PowerPoint charts are used to  provide a graphic image of a spiritual concept as a model or "strawman" to initiate and facilitate understanding and discussion of intangible biblical concepts, that are difficult to describe or understand (e.g. "relationship with God", "transformation of the inner man."
