Author's Note

In 1997, after I had retired from a 33-year career in computer technology, God began dealing with me regarding the restoration of the apostolic ministry demonstrated by the first century church, in the book of Acts.  These thoughts and feelings were unexpected since they were not inspired by anything I had recently been studying or hearing.  At first, I ignored this as just some random thoughts.  But these thoughts and impressions would not go away, and the Voice only grew louder.  As I began to understand this was from God, I began to pray and fast and pursue the study of Scriptures regarding this subject.  During the following years, great ministers like Bishops James Kilgore, Rev. Lee Stoneking, Rev. Mark Morgan, and others confirmed and gave insight to the message of restoration.

Biblical prophecies foretell of an endtime church, just before the coming of Jesus Christ, that will equal and exceed the explosive revival, evangelism and miracles recorded in the book of Acts.  The following are a few of the many related scriptures.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.”  (John 14:12)

“And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people. And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women. There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed everyone.” Acts 5:12,14-16

“The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the LORD of hosts.”

May we claim the prophesied restoration of losses from prior harvest: “He hath given you the former rain moderately, and He will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter in the first month . . . And the fats shall overflow with wine and oil.  And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten the cankerworm and the catrpillar . . . And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy.”  (Joel 2: 23-25, 28)

In 2003, while preparing for a mission’s trip to Spain, God impressed me to write a book entitled: “I Must be About My Father’s Business”, sub-title, "God's Purpose for Man -- Relationship and Dominion".   Little did I know at the time that this project would span ten years, nine books, 2,600 published pages and over 10,000 hours of research and writing.  Each time I completed a book, I felt an urge to begin writing the next book with the biblical concepts that were flooding my mind.  Like piecing together, a jigsaw puzzle, it was not until this project was complete that I saw the overall picture (refer to the overview chart in the "read more" segment).

As I continued my studies, I came to understand that the two subjects of “becoming a book of Acts church” and “becoming a book of Acts Christian” are indivisibly linked, since development of the apostolic man is foundational to the development of the apostolic church.   This concept is addressed in Dr. Eugene Wilson's book, “Realign”, which states: "Our primary focus should first be on building the spiritual man vs. building the church."

I understood from the beginning that there was a risk in writing and publishing materials related to this and the other interrelated and intimidating subjects.   But I also knew, from experience, that the regret and consequences of not following God's leading are worse than the risk of criticism or being misunderstood in pursuing something difficult and challenging.  My initial fear was the risk of writing something potentially misunderstood or theologically challenged. Also, I was concerned that others, much more learned in the Scriptures, would think I was being presumptuous to dare address a subject of this magnitude. To minimize this concern, I placed a disclaimer in the Author’s Note of these books similar to the following:

When we understand who we are as sons of God, we should say like Jesus:

"I must be about my Father's business."
